Evolve Housing – Shoreline, WA

A four-unit townhouse development outside of Seattle. Located at a  threshold between the  flat, rectilinear, barren hard-scape of a commercial arterial and a suburban residential landscape of detached homes, curvilinear, hilly terrain and dense vegetation.

Establishing privacy and managing the progression from the automobile and hard-scape to living and (soft) landscape. Rising up and shifting away from the immediate context in order to visually connect to the residential neighborhood beyond. Rotation and elevation as spatial techniques for subtle transition and separation.
